Skies the Limit Academy, LLC, a federal government contractor and childcare services provider, is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Part-Time Float / Teacher Assistant to join our team at our childcare center located on the Fort Meade VA Medical Campus.
We are looking for a flexible, motivated individual who enjoys working with children of various ages and is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers with age-appropriate activities that support children's growth and development.
- Provide classroom support across various age groups based on daily staffing needs.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Assist with daily routines, classroom supervision, and positive child guidance.
- Support classroom coverage, including staff breaks and absences, while maintaining required staffing ratios.
- Assist with classroom cleaning, sanitizing, and other daily operational needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children or in a licensed childcare center preferred.
- Ability to work with children of various ages and adapt to changing classroom needs.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to work collaboratively with classroom staff.
- Must successfully complete and maintain eligibility through all required state and federal background checks, including those required for employment at a federal facility.
