Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Maintenance Worker, Construction Crew Member, or Gardener, a role that combines hands-on outdoor work with the opportunity to shape beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. In this energetic position, you'll be responsible for maintaining landscapes, assisting with construction projects, and providing exceptional gardening and tree care services. Whether you're trimming trees, installing hardscape features, or performing routine lawn care, your efforts will directly contribute to creating vibrant environments that inspire and delight.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor spaces healthy and attractive
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping and construction activities
- Assist with installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth and safety
- Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Use excavators and other heavy equipment responsibly during construction projects or site preparation
- Maintain equipment and tools regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met
Experience
- Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing schedules, fertilization, aeration, and pest management
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, planting, mulching, and soil preparation
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of power tools and small machinery like trimmers or blowers
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols
- Basic understanding of horticulture principles and plant health management is a plus
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
Qualifications
- Must provide own transportation to and from work.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Possesses a can-do attitude, and is willing to problem solve.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Positive attitude towards outdoor physical work
