About Us: Since 1963 Ski Butternut has been a welcoming, independently run mountain in the Berkshire Hills that blends classic New England skiing/riding with a fun, energetic atmosphere designed for families and individuals of all ages and abilities.
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, creative, and energetic Director of Marketing to help spread the word about Ski Butternut! This role is perfect for someone who loves skiing, marketing, and coming up with fresh ideas to bring people to the mountain. You’ll work on everything from social media and advertising to special events and promotions. It’s a fast-paced role, especially in the winter, but it’s also super fun and rewarding!
What You’ll Do
- Work with our leadership team to develop a comprehensive marketing plan.
- Create and run social media, email, digital, TV, radio, and print campaigns.
- Design eye-catching graphics and videos using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Manage and update our website, ensuring the latest events and deals are front and center.
- Oversee on-site marketing to include promotions, live entertainment, activities, and specials.
- Track business performance against the marketing plan, to continuously find improvements.
- Supervise a Marketing Assistant and Ski Butternut Host Program.
- Partner with departments to create and distribute help-wanted ads and other operational media.
What We’re Looking For
- Someone with ski industry marketing experience.
- A creative thinker who can design, write, and edit marketing content.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Office 365, and social media management tools.
- Strong photography and videography skills.
- A people person who enjoys working with different teams and engaging with guests.
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays during the winter season.
- A team player willing to work and help other departments when needed.
Work Schedule
- Winter (Peak Season): Expect busy weekends and holidays; that’s when the action happens!
- Off-Season (Spring/Summer/Fall): More of a traditional 40-hour workweek, with occasional weekend events.
