Bromley Mountain Lift Mechanic Apprenticeship

Summary: Bromley is looking for entry level lift maintenance technicians and will pay for the education needed in the Vermont Tramway apprenticeship program. If you possess a natural aptitude, and curiosity for understanding, repairing, and working with machinery outdoors, this career path is for you.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect, repair and maintain lifts, associated buildings and ramps

• Diagnose malfunctions

• Disassembles and overhauls machinery and equipment

• Lubricates machinery and equipment

• Carries out preventive maintenance program

• Operate lifts as needed

• Performs other duties as required by management

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Must have a mechanical aptitude sufficient to understand lift equipment and its function

• 18 years of age or older

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays

• Punctual and prepared to perform work duties

• Must be able to project image established by the company

• Must be able to climb ladders and work from heights

• Must be prepared to work outdoors during inclement weather conditions and extreme cold

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment:

This job operates primarily outdoors year-round. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, and photocopiers as well as maintenance equipment on a daily basis. Role also operates 4-wheelers and snow mobiles on a regular basis.

Physical Demands:

This is a physically active role requiring several hours of standing and working outdoors. Occasionally indoors using computers and phones as well. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs over uneven terrain.
