- Develop, maintain, and update NDT training plans, procedures, and inspection documentation.
- Administer written and practical examinations for new and existing NDT inspectors.
- Provide final determination on acceptability of product identified as questionable through NDT methods.
- Perform internal NDT and Quality Management System (QMS) audits.
- Develop and implement equipment and process qualification protocols.
- Ensure compliance with AS, ISO, ASTM, and Nadcap requirements.
- Lead and participate in root cause investigations using Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D methodologies.
- Conduct correlation studies, capability studies (Cp, Cpk), and Measurement Systems Analyses (MSA).
- Support development of PFMEAs, Control Plans, SPC programs, FAIs/FAIRs, and PPAP documentation.
- Review customer specifications for technical flow-down and ensure internal alignment.
- Support site metrology programs and calibration requirements.
- Track, analyze, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Cost of Quality data to identify trends and drive improvement.
- Conduct internal process and product audits and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to escapes, cost reduction, and lead-time optimization.
- Provide training, coaching, and technical support on new and existing quality initiatives.
- Maintain a safe working environment; escalate hazards promptly.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and organization in assigned areas.
- Protect confidential and proprietary information at all times.
- Strong knowledge of AS, ISO, ASTM standards and Nadcap requirements.
- Proficiency with quality and reliability tools (FMEA, SPC, Pareto, GR&R, DOE, statistical analysis, regression, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- NDT Level III certification preferred or ability to obtain certification based on internal and customer requirements.
