What are the responsibilities and job description for the Factory Supply Chain Planner position at SKF?
- Forecasting, planning, procurement, master scheduling, and inventory activities for the assigned channel(s) or area.
- Excellent command of various MRP & supply planning tools & software. Knowledge of Infor XA ERP system a plus.
- Ensure all materials needed for various production operations are at the correct location exactly when needed – this is a core requirement.
- Purchase order management to include release, launch, revision, expediting, review.
- Perform channel demand & volume sales forecasting; daily production master scheduling.
- Ensure ownership of the master scheduling process is exercised to include factory-wide discipline in execution – maximizing utilization of capacity, staffing, and inventory.
- Be responsive to factory production issues as well as customer demands to include promise/re-promise orders.
- Maintain complete current and future awareness of components, stock planning & inventory levels.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or a Manufacturing related field is required, along with 2–4 years' experience in scheduling and/or materials related experience.
- In lieu of a 4-year degree, a combination of 3–5 years of experience and an Associates of Science degree at a minimum.
- Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or heavy metal manufacturing is preferred.
- Proficient with computer software & related systems; well-developed written & verbal communication skills.
