Position Summary
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with around two years of experience. You’ll join a small, high-impact Accounting/Finance team, where you’ll have exposure to leadership, meaningful projects, and a chance to shape processes as our company continues to grow.
The role is a remote position, and we will give preference to candidates located in The Woodlands, TX, and its surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
- Be a key player in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process - preparing journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with preparing GAAP financial statements and reporting packages.
- Build supporting schedules and perform variance analysis for management reporting.
- Partner with auditors and internal teams to provide documentation and insights.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and ensure alignment between business activities and financial reporting.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and corporate policies.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify and suggest process improvements that make reporting faster and more accurate.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of accounting experience (corporate or public).
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Excel proficiency; exposure to ERP/reporting tools a plus (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
- Demonstrated interest in using AI to automate and streamline accounting processes.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Prior experience in SaaS companies is a plus.

Salary Range
$80,000 to $90,000 annual salary plus a performance-based annual bonus and stock options
