Role Scope:
This position will manage, direct, and coordinate all communication efforts of Skeff Distributing, including updating and maintaining the company website, creating, and editing internal newsletters, and developing a strategic social media plan for the wholesaler. This position will coordinate communications, marketing, and internal events with the administration team and assist in development of products and materials with the sales team. This position will also be responsible for serving as a liaison at community events, sponsorships, career fairs, business expos, etc. This position will also be the pricing coordinator back up. Which will include helping maintain and updating pricing changes/promotions and ensuring all accounts are notified of change. In addition, this position will support front office duties with communications with customers, reconciling drivers, and assisting with various office duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- External Communications
- Manage Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts
- Respond to customers and inquiries with 24 hours
- Increase followers and engagements with intriguing creative content
- 5-7 social media posts per week guaranteed
- 1-2 social media giveaways quarterly
- Monitor competitive wholesaler websites and social media sites.
- Recruiting for hiring needs
- Attend job fairs, career fairs
- Post open positions on really, LinkedIn, Facebook, and internally as needed
- Transfer received applications to hiring managers
- Community Engagement
- Attend community events as requested
- Plan events as requested
- Internal Communications
- Create and administer internal surveys

- Create, develop, and distribute internal newsletter
- Maintain birthday and anniversary lists, send announcements internally
- Maintain company bulletin boards.
- Manage Team Skeff apparel orders
- Compile Anniversary Awards for All Company Meetings
- Present at Sales and Management meetings
- Driver Reconciliation
- Balance drivers’ money to deposit
- Note in detail any driver errors on the invoice
- Note if an error/Payment on Account (POA) is to be given or if a check is to be issued
- Verify all drivers’ invoices have been submitted daily

- Answer phones from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Always maintain proper greeting
- Answer 90% of all incoming calls by the second ring
- Direct calls to employees if available or route to the appropriate voicemail.
- Relay timely, accurate, and complete messages to appropriate personnel
- Identify customers’ needs through active listening and company/product knowledge
- Take accurate beer orders and enter into the computer system
- Route customer complaints to the proper manager. Then follow up on all customer complaints/requests to ensure they have been handled
- Set phone system for holiday greetings

- All other duties as assigned by Vice President, Administration & Controller.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- BS degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written; including the ability to convey professionalism to all stakeholders including internal employees and external customers and retailers
