What are the responsibilities and job description for the Frame Finisher Artisan position at Skeeter's Row?
About Skeeter's Row
Skeeter's Row creates wood picture frames, including carved, ornate, and antique-style designs, that give people a beautiful way to display the moments and memories they treasure. Each frame is made with care and attention to detail, and we sell to customers across the country. Our purpose is simple: to make frames with real character that feel special to give and to keep. The finish is a big part of that, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in it.
About the Role
We're looking for a skilled painter/stain finisher to join us as an independent contractor. You'll apply finishes to our wood frames, from rich wood stains to painted, distressed, and antique-style looks. This is a great fit for someone who loves detail work and wants to work on their own schedule and at their own pace.
What You'll Do
- Stain, paint, and finish wood picture frames
- Work carefully around carved details, ornate corners, and curved edges
- Deliver finished frames on an agreed timeline, free of drips, streaks, and blemishes
- Communicate about progress and any issues
- You choose your own materials and supplies and supply them yourself
- You will submit your quote on a job by job basis
What We're Looking For
- Experience staining, painting, or finishing wood
- A good eye for color, consistency, and detail
- Comfort working on small, intricate pieces
- Reliability and pride in quality work
- Ability to pick up and drop off frames
Nice to Have
- Experience with specialty finishes such as antiquing, distressing, glazing, or gilding
- Prior experience finishing decorative items or frames
Pay & Flexibility
- Pay per frame, negotiated based on the type of finish you're able to do. More complex or specialty finishes earn higher rates.
- Contract work with a lot of flexibility: you choose when and where you work, as long as agreed deadlines are met
- Volume can be discussed based on your availability and our needs
- You control the manner in which you complete your work
Pay: From $15.00 per year
Work Location: Remote
Salary : $15
