What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Hauler position at Skeet's Auto Body Repair, Inc., Hauling and Transport?
We are looking for an experienced Equipment Hauler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating company trucks in a safe and efficient manner, while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations. This position requires the ability to work independently and be home daily most of the time. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL Class A driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift heavy objects.
This position is for our Conover, NC location. We prefer military experience but NOT required. ALL applicants are welcome. We will train. Two years truck driving experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion or more. Must be at least 18. Attention to detail will help.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain accurate records of hours worked, miles driven, and fuel consumption.
- Load and unload machines/materials as needed.
- Communicate with dispatchers/customers regarding routes and delivery times.
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Must have good work history from references and prior employers.
- Proficiency and able to make sound judgement.
- Interact professionally with others.
- The company and employees must stay NC DOT compliant including the required random drug testing/screening.
Typical work hours are M-F 8am-5pm. There will be rotating nights and rotating weekends of being on call. Some runs may include early mornings/late evenings and/or overnights.
