In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across a broad range of legal areas, including commercial litigation, commercial transactions, real estate, and government. You will also provide administrative support including client intake and management, billing and invoicing, case file management, procurement, and office management. Your contributions will help ensure the smooth operation of my busy law office. - Assist attorneys with legal research using LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy.
- Manage legal case files and documents efficiently
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Conduct thorough document review and analysis for litigation cases .
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and maintaining organized case calendars.
- Perform administrative duties such as phone etiquette handling client inquiries, managing filing systems, and providing executive administrative support when needed.
- Assist with client interviews and gather relevant information for case development; maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Prior paralegal experience or legal administrative experience in a busy law office environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of diverse legal practice areas including commercial law, commercial transactions, and legislation is advantageous.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis is essential.
- Experience with MS Word and Adobe.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading accuracy is critical.
- Effective interviewing skills to assist in gathering case-related information from clients or witnesses.
