What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate position at Skateworld Pro Shop?
Job Summary
Skateworld is an ice hockey and figure skating retail business that has been servicing Huntsville for the past 30 years. We are looking for a retail sales associate. Part time and full time opportunities are available. As a sales associate you will be responsible for everything from stocking shelves, gear fitting, skate fitting, sharpening skates, processing transactions and more. Prior ice sports experience is not required but a general understanding of the game is preferred. Age and prior experience will be taken into account for pay.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Maintain store inventory, stocking shelves when not busy
- You will sharpen skates and fit for gear. But on site training is available
- You will be responsible for opening and closing duties such as vacuuming and taking trash out
- You will process transactions using out POS software
Requirements
- You must be 18 or older and not have criminal record
- You must be available to work evenings and weekends. Shop usually is open til 8
- You must have a good work ethic and take initiative to do your job
