We are seeking a skilled Operator to join our team. The Operator will be responsible for operating machinery, ensuring the quality of products, and performing various tasks to support production.
Duties:
- Operate machinery following established procedures and safety guidelines
- Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications
- Use hand tools and equipment for fabrication and machining processes
- Read and interpret blueprints for production requirements
- Utilize micrometers for precise measurements
- Conduct programming for machinery operations
- Handle material movement using forklifts
- Assist in laser cutting processes
- Fabricate components as needed
- minimum 1 year as beamer creeler works safely and adheres to company policies correctly understands warp yarn marking process ensure creelers are using proper yarn and knot procedure completely understands weaving room expectations for beams follows fabric design instructions for all warps made confirms correct number of ends being used starts up beams properly using paper to eliminate soft spots accurately tracks data and completes labels and paperwork minimizes crossed ends and slack spots consistently able to complete 2 beams in a single shift identifies flawed warp yarn and properly identifies and sorts completes lease out process on full warps runs department when operator 2/manager not available promptly reports any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience with hand tools and equipment used in manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of programming machinery for production tasks
- Ability to perform quality inspection using tools like micrometers
- Familiarity with blueprint reading for understanding production requirements
- Prior experience operating forklifts for material handling
- Competency in laser cutting techniques is a plus
- Understanding of machining processes and fabrication methods
