What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do
- Sort all daily linen.
- Loading and unloading all dryers in the proper manner, to include the cleaning of lint traps in dryers when needed.
- Operating the linen spreader, towel/linen folder and ironer in the proper manner.
- Operating a commercial washer/extractor in a relief capacity as directed.
- Reporting any problems or malfunctions of laundry equipment to a supervisor.
- Utilizing disposable gloves and the necessary protection while working in the laundry area.
- Assisting other laundry personnel with their job assignments when necessary.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Turning off equipment prior to leaving at the end of each shift.
- Assist pick-up with loading of closets when necessary.
- Full work availability including weekends and evenings is highly desired.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to work on feet for most of the shift.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position, and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs. in tight spaces.
- Ability to operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters.
- Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs.
- Housekeeping experience preferred not required
