Environmental Services - Skagit Valley Hospital
Job Summary
Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, public areas and restrooms in compliance with regulatory standards for safety and infection control. Variable shifts. Works effectively and cooperatively within the workplace. Location/Department specific tasks and competencies may apply.
Essential Functions
· Clean patient rooms per established protocols.
· Remove trash and bio hazardous bags from soiled rooms to appropriate dump sites.
· Effectively communicate with patient(s).
· Clean public areas.
· Sanitize restrooms, restock paper and cleaning supplies.
· Clean lobbies to include floors, dumping trash, restocking reading material and spot cleaning walls.
· Clean ancillary areas.
· Remove all medical equipment from discharged patient rooms and place in soiled closet.
Education
High School diploma or GED preferred. Relevant skills and ability may be substituted in lieu of education.
Experience/Training
Minimum one (1) year customer service or environmental services experience preferred.
License/Certifications
Valid Washington State Driver’s license preferred.
