The company is seeking candidates for a Propane Service Technician I at our Main Office in Burlington, WA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Service Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient transport and handling of propane systems for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing propane systems and related equipment, while ensuring full compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate delivers high-quality work and exceptional customer service. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Safely operate a boom lift service vehicle in accordance with company and government regulations.
- Perform bulk propane tank unloading, transfer and storage operations.
- Accurately assess customer needs. Make recommendations on replacements, additions or deletions of customers’ propane system equipment.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair & replace parts and equipment for propane tank systems and distribution equipment.
- Safely use common and industry-specific hand tools and equipment.
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment and equipment while adhering to local, state and federal safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
- Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess a Class A or B Commercial Driver License (CDL)
- Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push & pull up to 60 pounds.
- Navigate uneven surfaces and climb steps/ladders and crawl as needed.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic while remaining safe, dependable and reliable.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with co-workers and customers.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Exhibit an ability to learn new tasks quickly and correctly.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Ability to follow directions verbally, written and on maps or GPS.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- CDL hazardous materials and tanker endorsements (or obtain within a prespecified timeframe as a condition of employment).
- Experience working with propane, natural gas and/or HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with NFPA 54 & 58 gas codes.
HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE
This is full-time, 40 hours per week position, typically Monday - Friday. Qualified applicants must be available to be on call and work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$26.00 - $32.00 per hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
