POSITION SPECIFICS

ROLE
SUMMARY
The Maintenance Clerk will be responsible for maintaining the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Operational) spare parts inventory and keeping physical storage areas organized. They are responsible for processing storeroom transactions such as parts receiving, put-away, issuing, kitting and cycle counting among others. The Clerk will support ongoing maintenance work as needed with part information, parts delivery, or vendor communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Follow all MRO storeroom standard operating procedures related to parts organization and management.
- Provide feedback on and improvement suggestions for MRO storeroom standard procedures.
- Accurately conduct storeroom transactions such as parts receiving, labelling, put away, issuing, kitting, cycle counting and outgoing shipments.
- Work in CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) to enter, update, improve and manage parts data.
- Create and maintain 5S or best practice levels of cleanliness and organization within the parts storage areas.
- Implement ‘parts-in-storage’ reliability best practices in relation to parts storage methods and conditions.
- Support Maintenance Coordinator with parts ordering and vendor management as requested.
- Communicate and coordinate with department Planner and Coordinator to facilitate the proactive work management processes.
- Track and report data required for storeroom or maintenance performance metrics and KPI’s.
- Other duties as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in CMMS entry and management preferred.

- Ability to effectively handle multiple, concurrent projects requiring judgment and initiative.
- Proficiency using CMMS, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-pace, time-critical environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to use a 10-key with speed and accuracy.
- Excellent listening skills and attention to detail and accuracy.

REQUIRED TRAINING
This position requires training on Good Manufacturing Practices critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency. Training is also required on how to identify food safety issues such as temperature control, cross-contamination, sanitation and cleanliness of the lines, etc., critical to the effective implementation of the Food Safety Plan and the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency.
