Job Overview
Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and timely with correct withholding and deductions. Duties of this position include payroll processing, reporting and employee communication.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Assures that payroll-related transactions are processed in compliance with external and internal policies.
- Performs actions necessary to track and determine regular, overtime pay, bonuses and special payments.
- Processes and reviews tax withholdings, and other deductions.
- Maintains knowledge of rules and laws which govern the payroll and benefits administration.
- Reviews and processes payroll adjustments, including retro, paid time off and other time off.
- Reconciles errors and maintains payroll records.
- Fields and responds to payroll inquiries and resolves discrepancies as required.

Skill and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Human Resources or related area are preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
- (Preferred) Experience in manufacturing companies
- Advanced in Microsoft Office - Excel especially with V-Lookups, Pivot Tables
- Good understanding of payroll calculation such as overtime, shift payments, and others
- Ability to maintain payroll records and prepare payroll reports
- Ability to solve problems that routinely occur in payroll with standard procedures
- Ability to communicate information about payroll that requires some explanation or interpretation
