Construction Project Manager/Analyst

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking a talented Project Manage/Analyst that is experienced with healthcare facilities or construction for an on-site position at a VA Medical Center in Long Beach, CA.

SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 250 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; it specializes in professional services to support federal and military organizations.

The pay for this position is $41.34/hr.  There are also 11 paid federal holidays, Combined 80hrs of sick/PTO accrual, medical, dental, vision, and 401k.

The Program Analyst is responsible for execution of data related project tasks for projects under the direction of the Program Manager. Provides effective leadership and management to basic projects, ensuring quality performance by the project team. Works with spreadsheet software or relational databases to organize data and may provide graphic design support for project, including development of deliverables, organizational charts, training materials, and other visual aids. Examines large data sets to identify trends, develop charts, and create visual presentations to help organizations make strategic decisions. Communicates highly technical information to numerous audiences, including senior management, the user community, and less experienced staff.

Responsibilities:

• Attend weekly Space Management Team (SMT) meetings.
• Participate in Working Groups with Hospital Services.
• Conduct database research of VA databases for information on patient projections.
• Collaborate with VALB Informatics.
• Provide data analytics support, which consists of analyzing data and building supporting products.
• Translate space requirements into project plans (turn the space and facility requirements into a list of projects that need to be completed over the next 15 years).
• Provide support to Space Management site survey of the function, purpose, and ownership of spaces across the VALB campus. 
• Assist the Space Management Team in the planning and execution of space moves due to renovations, construction, or user requests. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelors with 2 years of experience with data analytics, and minimum of 1 year experience with project management in a construction environment.
• Knowledge of data mining/data warehouse processes, data modeling, R or SAS, SQL, statistical analysis, database management and reporting, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of computer aided design programs, like AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or equivalent. 
• Experience using geographic information systems (GIS) like ArcGIS. 
• Due to nature of work, US Citizenship is required. 
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US Department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.
