About the Position

SJI Maintenance is looking for a dependable, self-motivated Property Caretaker / Maintenance Technician to care for two well-maintained residential properties in Southwest Cape Coral.

This is a part-time position averaging 24–32 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as our company continues to expand. We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and wants to become an important part of our long-term team.

The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, solve problems, and take ownership of keeping our properties looking their absolute best year-round.

Primary Responsibilities

Lawn & Landscape Maintenance

· Mow, edge, trim, and blow lawn trimmings at both properties

· Maintain landscaping beds

· Weed and perform seasonal clean-up

· Monitor irrigation and report issues

Pool Maintenance

· Clean and maintain two residential swimming pools

· Test and balance pool chemicals

· Empty skimmer baskets and maintain pool equipment

· Identify and report maintenance concerns

General Property Maintenance

· Perform routine handyman repairs

· Replace light fixtures, switches, faucets, and hardware

· Minor plumbing and electrical repairs

· Pressure washing as needed

· Interior and exterior painting and touch-up work

· Basic carpentry repairs

· Keep garages, storage areas, and equipment organized

Additional Responsibilities

· Wash and detail the owner's boat as needed

· Assist with special property improvement projects

· Perform preventative maintenance inspections

· Maintain tools and equipment

· Keep detailed records of completed work

· Recommend repairs before they become costly problems

Qualifications

· Experience in lawn maintenance

· Experience maintaining residential swimming pools

· Strong handyman skills

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Valid Florida driver's license

· Reliable transportation

· Ability to lift 50 pounds

· Strong attention to detail

· Professional appearance and positive attitude

Preferred Experience

· Small engine maintenance

· Irrigation repair

· Pressure washing

· Painting

· Carpentry

· Basic plumbing

· Basic electrical work

· Boat detailing

Schedule & Compensation

· Part-time position (24–32 hours per week)
