What are the responsibilities and job description for the Directional Drill Operator position at SJ Network Services?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Directional Driller to join our team. As a Driller, you will be responsible for operating a Directional Drill. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge and expertise in operating heavy equipment/ DD.
Duties:
- Operate Directional Drill & Locator
- Perform drilling operations according to project specifications
- Dig trenches and holes for various purposes & Install vaults/peds
- Transport materials and equipment to job sites
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Drill operator with Vermeer 10x15
- Proficiency in operating backhoes or other heavy equipment
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to withstand long hours of outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
