We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join a growing public accounting team in Lincolnshire, Illinois. The ideal candidate will bring deep public accounting experience, strong client relationship skills, and a consistent track record of serving in an Audit Manager capacity within their current firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of audit staff and seniors
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact
- Review financial statements, audit documentation, and engagement deliverables
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, firm policies, and regulatory requirements
- Identify and communicate accounting, auditing, and internal control issues
- Assist with engagement budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning
- Support business development initiatives and client growth opportunities
Required Qualifications
- 6–10 years of public accounting audit experience
- Prior experience in an Audit Manager role is required
- Must have held the title of Audit Manager for at least 3 years at the current firm
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and audit methodologies
- Proven experience managing multiple audit engagements simultaneously
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation strongly preferred
- Experience working with middle-market or closely held businesses preferred
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced public accounting environment
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
