Who We Are: Sizzlings is a halal Nashville hot chicken, smashburger, and gyro restaurant in Oceanside, NY. We're building a brand around bold flavors and bold content — and we need someone to help us capture it. We're not looking for cookie-cutter posts — we want someone with a creative vision who sees a sizzling griddle and already knows the angle.
The Role: We need a creative, reliable person to come into the restaurant 2-3 times per week (1-2 hours per visit) and shoot high-quality photos and videos of our food, prep process, and restaurant atmosphere using a smartphone. This is a capture-only role — you shoot and deliver the raw files, we handle editing and posting. If you have experience editing, even better — we'd love to talk about that too.
This isn't a boring corporate gig. You'll be in a real kitchen, surrounded by real food, capturing content that makes people stop scrolling and start driving to Oceanside.If you've ever watched a food video and thought "I could shoot that better" — this is your chance to prove it!
What You'll Be Shooting:
- Hero food shots (plated dishes, close-ups, sauce drizzles)
- Short-form video clips for TikTok and Instagram Reels (sizzling pans, burger smashes, chicken frying, sauce pours)
- Behind-the-scenes prep and kitchen action
We're also open to your ideas. Got a concept for a series? A trending format you want to try? Bring it. We want someone who thinks creatively, not just someone who points and shoots.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong eye for food photography and video — your camera roll is already full of food pics
- Familiarity with what performs well on Instagram and TikTok
- Reliable and self-directed — you can work from a shot list without constant supervision
- Available 2-3 days per week on a flexible schedule
- Based in or near Oceanside, NY
No professional camera or equipment required: We care about your eye, not your gear. If you can make a plate of food look incredible on an iPhone, we want to talk to you.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
