Role Description The Project Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Frederick, MD. This role oversees commercial custom cabinetry and millwork projects from initial planning through final installation, coordinating schedules, materials, and resources to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Daily responsibilities include managing project timelines, communicating with clients, designers, and shop teams, and resolving issues related to production, logistics, and site conditions. The Project Manager conducts site visits, monitors quality and compliance with specifications, and updates stakeholders on project status, risk, and budget. This position works closely with expeditors, production staff, and installers to keep projects moving efficiently and maintain a high standard of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong project management skills, including experience with Project Management in construction, millwork, or related fields.
- Candidates should possess engineering and drafting skills, to be able to draw out the Project Scope.
- Candidates should possess inspection and quality control skills, including conducting Inspection of work, verifying measurements, and ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Candidates should possess logistics management skills, including Logistics Management experience coordinating deliveries, installation schedules, and vendor relationships.
- Relevant qualifications include experience in cabinetry, millwork, or construction project coordination, strong organizational and time-management abilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and shop plans, proficiency with project tracking tools or software, and a detail-oriented approach to scheduling and documentation are highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to perform on-site visits; prior leadership or supervisory experience and familiarity with safety standards and building codes are a plus.
