Your work will directly impact how quickly and accurately insurance companies can evaluate and rate submissions, ultimately prioritizing the best risks.As our Machine Learning Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of applying cutting-edge AI technology to real-world insurance challenges. You'll be the bridge between our visionary ideas and their practical implementation, crafting the algorithms that will reshape how insurance underwriting is done. Your expertise will be crucial in developing solutions that not only meet but exceed the expectations of our clients, from small businesses to large trucking fleets.

Here's what you'll be doing

You'll be the driving force behind our AI innovations, working closely with our product and engineering teams to bring game-changing solutions to life. Your days will be filled with exciting challenges and opportunities to make a real impact.

• Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to translate complex business requirements into elegant, data-driven solutions.
• Design and implement end-to-end machine learning pipelines that will form the backbone of our AI-powered underwriting system.
• Dive deep into the world of natural language processing and transformer-based models to unlock new insights from insurance data.
• Fine-tune and optimize our models, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in insurance AI.
• Work with our platform teams to automate model deployment and scaling, ensuring our solutions can grow with our clients' needs.

• You have at least 3 years of professional experience as a data scientist or machine learning engineer, with a track record of delivering impactful AI solutions.
• You're experienced in classical NLP algorithms and transformer-based models, with hands-on experience working with LLMs and the Huggingface ecosystem.
• You have a deep understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and can leverage them to build scalable AI solutions.
• You have a passion for solving real-world problems and can clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• You have experience in the insurance industry or a keen interest in learning about it.
• You've worked in a fast-paced startup environment before and thrive in dynamic settings.
• You're familiar with the latest advancements in AI ethics and responsible AI development.
• You enjoy mentoring other team members and contributing to a collaborative learning environment.
