Duties
- Lead and supervise all store activities, ensuring smooth daily operations and high standards of customer service
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new employees, providing comprehensive training and development to build a motivated team
- Manage inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising to maximize sales and minimize loss
- Oversee cash handling, cashiering, and payroll processing.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and team meetings to foster a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities
- Strong skills in negotiation, sales management, inventory management, and retail math
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable
- Demonstrated expertise in employee orientation, training & development, recruiting, and team leadership
- Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping software, and inventory control tools
- Experience with shift management, merchandising, and retail math calculations
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently with exceptional organizational skills and time management abilities
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within a retail or grocery setting is preferred.
