The Fiberglass Technician performs various skills on varying items.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Hand laminating, working a chopper gun, and rolling out fiberglass materials.
- Vacuum forms and bonds plastics such as ABS, kydex, polycarb and plex_ Ability to grind fiberglass With power hand tools both In shop and on Rides.
- Removing and repairing various materials and surfaces. Such as, install various seatbelts and change out upholstery.
- Fabricating pans from polyester resin and urethane foam.
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to prepare a pattern and pull a tool or a part Ability to assemble and install fabricated pans.
- Basic knowledge of plastic materials, adhesive and fasteners.
- Four-year experience in fiberglass assembly and polyester resin hand laminating _ Good mechanical skills
- Position requires full availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Level 1: Applies general skills and some experience
- Level 2: Applies skills and special knowledge with typically 3 years of experience
- Level 3: Applies full specialized skills and knowledge with 5 years of experience
- Level 4: Applies expert level of knowledge, skills with 7 years of experience
