Marketing & PR CORE position

This is a seasonal year-round position in the Marketing Division with responsibilities that include building a media library through photo and video content for the park. Editing and producing media content for website, social media, and media outlets. Working various special events throughout the season. This position typically works up to 40 hours per week, with a guaranteed an average 32 hours including weekends/holidays per department needs. The Multimedia Marketing & Public Relations position reports directly to the Marketing Manager in the Marketing Division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as park photographer/videographer
• Film and edit b-roll videos for the Public Relations Department
• Film, direct, and edit videos for the park’s organic and paid social media channels and website
• Film, direct, and edit point-of-view videos of coasters and attractions using Go-Pro cameras and other equipment
• Cooperate with Safety and Operations departments on various photo shoots
• Assist in graphic design elements for in-park signs
• Participate in execution of special events and PR
• Collect and organize media release forms
• Assist with website edits and audits throughout the season
• Enforce all park policies and procedures and maintain all Six Flags standards
• Overseeing, coordinating and delegating interns
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge and skill in Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
• Computer literacy in both Mac and Windows operating systems
• Strong knowledge of all Microsoft applications
• Excellent skill with various social media platforms with business applications
• Ability to take initiative and manage projects on a deadline
• Enthusiastic personality with the ability to engage with guests and team members respectfully
• Ability to multitask and make quick decisions in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Leadership ability with a team oriented approach
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
