The Maintenance Department at Six Flags Fiesta Texas is currently seeking a motivated and reliable Water Quality Technician to support daily waterpark and main park operations regarding water quality. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe and sanitary environment for all guests and employees, while promoting a safe working environment, eliminating hazards, and meeting our guest service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assure the water chemistry in all areas of the waterpark is tested, recorded, and adjusted (if necessary) on an hourly basis during periods of operation.
- Backwash all filters when required and maintain the proper level of water in all pools.
- Closes or shuts down any features for safety and/or emergency situations.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in and around the water activity areas, including pre-opening safety checks, cleaning of pools and surrounding areas, end-of-day cleanup, and management of bio-spills.
The successful candidate will possess a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license, with experience in water quality and supervisory skills a plus. A strong sense of teamwork, positive attitude, and knowledge of installation and maintenance of irrigation systems are also required. Additionally, the candidate must have a valid Driver's License, be at least 18 years old, and have knowledge of pumps, filters, and related equipment.
