Development and Outreach Manger
The Development and Outreach Manager works in a dynamic team with the Executive Director, writes grants, helps identify and secure donations for SIUTNA and explores new avenues to increase and maintain donors. This involves researching, cultivating, stewarding and soliciting prospects/donors for major gifts for programs, capital campaigns, and special event sponsorships. The Development and Outreach Manager will also help develop and manage, events undertaken by SIUTNA. The successful candidate is a person who is passionate about health equity and enjoys introducing and connecting philanthropists to an organization that consistently delivers results for the people we serve.
Major Responsibilities
- You will identify prospects and cultivate gifts, donations and substantive contributions for programs, campaigns and events.
- You will manage a portfolio of significant gift prospects and work closely with the Executive Director to develop effective solicitation and retention strategies
- You will compose funding requests for gifting opportunities.
- You will plan and facilitate meetings with prospects and donors.
- You will travel with ED and board members, and independently to ensure an effective quantity of face-to-face work and relationship building.
- You will help conceptualize, draft and prepare briefing materials for donor/prospect visits.
- You will assist with planning, organizing and directing any Capital Campaign undertaken by SIUTNA.
- You will manage customer retention, recognition, and pipeline development, with a focus on high impact relationships.
- You will lead the development of relationships and engagement of target partners, organizations, corporations, and individuals.
- You will execute successful events or fundraising activities. Implement best practices for revenue growth, adjusting to customer experience survey results and feedback; and encourage creativity and innovation resulting in new revenue opportunities.
- Must be able to staff evening and weekend meetings, events and programs.
- Ensures key fundraising best practices are followed and key performance benchmarks are achieved.
You will perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· A college degree in a relevant discipline; preferably with an MBA
· Relevant experience, preferably with a non-profit organization
