- The technician will become familiar with molecular/cellular biology research techniques including processing human biological samples for DNA extraction, immune assays, cellular isolation and FACs.
- The research technician will also follow standard operating procedures and maintain sample inventory database.
- General laboratory practices will be followed including, washing of laboratory glassware and plastics, laboratory cleanliness and biological sample waste disposal.
- The research technician will also assist with patient screening, sample collection (surgical operating room and clinic) and communicate study progress to Dr. Braundmeier-Fleming and study team.
- The research technician will be allowed to present their research at both local and international research conferences with the approval of Dr. Braundmeier-Fleming.
