S.S.A. Overview
This job is a part-time, at-will independent contractor position responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate Jump Rope practices. The role includes teaching proper techniques, leading conditioning exercises, and fostering teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship in a safe and inclusive environment. Trainers must supervise students closely, uphold safety guidelines, and maintain positive communication with school staff, parents, and program coordinators. Additional duties include supporting performances and special events. Continued engagement requires maintaining CPR/First Aid certification and passing required background checks. The position does not offer benefits, and trainers are responsible for their own taxes and insurance. Misconduct or failure to meet expectations may result in separation from the company.
Preferred applicants must have reliable transportation and access to a personal vehicle to ensure timely arrival at program sites.
Trainers are expected to:
- Lead safe, engaging, and age-appropriate jump rope training sessions.
- Arrive 10-15 minutes early to set up equipment and prepare.
- Wear appropriate athletic attire representing the program professionally.
- Uphold the program's values of fitness, fun, and confidence-building.
- Follow lesson plans, safety protocols, and administrative policies.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional attitude with students, parents, and staff.
Qualifications
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Drivers License / ID
- Clean Background
- Proven experience or education in sports medicine or athletic training; certification as an Athletic Trainer is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coaching and athlete education.
- Demonstrated understanding of injury prevention techniques.
- Passion for promoting health and fitness through personalized training programs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 5 per week
