Thursday Companion Care for My Mom in Ankeny

I'm looking for a kind, dependable caregiver to spend time with my 82-year-old mother in her Ankeny apartment, approximately 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. She is independently mobile and able to do many things on her own, but benefits from reminders and encouragement, and companionship.

Responsibilities would include preparing or helping with lunch, medication reminders, light household tasks such as laundry or tidying, and spending time interacting with her. She enjoys TV, reading, conversation, and simple activities.

I'd especially like someone who is patient and comfortable working with an older adult who has some memory difficulties. She may use a walker for added stability. No heavy lifting is expected.

I'm primarily looking for consistent Thursday help, with the possibility of occasional addition/back-up hours if we are a good fit.
