We're looking for a kind, dependable caregiver to help care for our mom 1-2 weekends per month (guaranteed one weekend every month and two weekends every other month). She has Early Onset Alzheimer's, and we're hoping to find someone with experience supporting individuals with cognitive decline who can bring a calm, positive presence to her.
Schedule: Saturday–Sunday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM for 1-2 weekends every month, with the possibility of expanding hours in the future. Pay is $15–20/hour depending on experience. We're located in South Philadelphia.
Responsibilities include:
• Feeding Mom's dog
• Preparing and serving breakfast/lunch/dinner, giving medications
• Providing companionship and engaging activities
• Assisting with Mom's morning and evening routines, including getting up in the morning and getting in bed for the night
Our mom is mobile but needs some assistance as the disease has affected her vision. She loves music, short walks, and spending time with warm, positive people.
