What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver for Mother position at Sittercity.com?
My mother is recovering from a stroke and will be discharged to my home soon. She needs supervision for all transfers (toileting, bed to chair, etc.), and other basic help with food prep, small tasks, cleaning and making sure she takes her meds.
She is an early riser, and likes to eat breakfast around 6:30 am. She normally naps in the morning for a few hours, and would then need help with lunch around 11:00 am. Breakfast and lunch are provided for caregiver so they can eat with my mother. Hours would be: 6:30-11:30 M-F, and occasionaly weekends.
We would prefer a caregiver who is female, and older (50-60ish), who is comfortable with spirituality, particularly the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Faith is very important to my mother, and she would like someone who can help support her faith.
While my mother is sleeping, caregiver is free to use the time for personal needs.
Requirements: some experience with dementia patients, no smoking.
