Join Our Back-Up Childcare Team with Sitter Scout!
Sitter Scout is excited to welcome skilled and caring childcare professionals to our Back-Up Care team. As a trusted Care.com agency partner, we provide in-home childcare for families across the Greater Boston area.
Compensation: $20–$25 per hour, plus opportunities for bonuses.
What We’re Looking For:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Availability for at least 3 weekdays (M–F) during typical work hours (7:00am–7:00pm).
- Flexible and comfortable accepting assignments on short notice.
- At least 6 months of consistent availability.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on childcare experience, including caring for newborns and infants.
- Able to provide at least 3 childcare references.
- Reliable transportation required; mileage reimbursement offered for travel beyond 40 miles roundtrip (up to 100 miles max).
- Willingness to work in homes with pets (exceptions can be discussed if needed).
- Proactive, dependable, and well-organized personality.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check.

- In addition to the greater downtown area of Boston area, are you willing to take jobs in all areas West and North of Boston? (We reimburse for anything over 40 miles round trip - 100 miles max). If yes, please list the areas that you are comfortable commuting to. We are in need of the following areas: Waltham, Lexington, Woburn, Malden, Somerville, Newton, Watertown and Allston.
