Overview
In search of Patient Sitter in private home.
Duties
- Monitor patients’ conditions continuously through direct observation and report any changes or concerns promptly to medical staff
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, feeding, mobility support, and toileting to promote patient comfort and dignity
- Observe and document patient behaviors, vital signs, and overall condition accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Support patients with cognitive disabilities, including those with Alzheimer’s disease or autism, by providing reassurance and engaging in appropriate activities
- Collaborate closely with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and ensure patient safety
- Practice manual handling techniques safely when assisting with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or transferring patients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols, including cleaning duties as necessary
Requirements
- Prior experience assisting with assisted living or nursing home environments is highly preferred
- Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR and emergency response protocols
- Strong communication skills for caregiver interactions and teamwork within multidisciplinary healthcare settings
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and engage in manual handling tasks safely
Pay: $300.00 per week
