Port and Harbors
- HS Diploma or GED; and
- Possession of a driver's license issued by the State of Alaska
- Some training or experience in the general maintenance trades; and
- Specific harbor operations or maintenance experience, preferred; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work
- Primarily works in the field outside, often in inclement weather with related hazards
- Daily physical movement (walking, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing) throughout the workday sometimes on uneven and slippery surfaces
- Daily use of hand tools and other equipment necessary to perform maintenance duties
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling materials or objects up to 50 pounds with or without the assistance of proper equipment
