Computer Science - Data Analytics

SiteTech Systems (dba myAnalyst) is a diversified consulting, research and analytics company. The advertised position is within our business intelligence & consulting group. We work directly with medium to large multi unit operators within the Hospitality, Restaurant and After Market Car Care Industries to develop and implement custom reporting & analysis tools.

We are looking for an applicant with a background in computer science to help create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. A background in data analysis, business management or financial analysis is preferred. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator. If you have a business acumen and problem-solving aptitude, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs to technical specifications
• Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g. reporting tools)
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms
• Build, maintain & optimize databases (Azure or SQL based)
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects

Skills

• Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist
• Industry experience is preferred
• In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
• Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI, Tableau )
• Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
• Background in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related fields (preferred but not required)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C .
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or robotics is a bonus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts.
