What you'll do:
- Lead a team of ~10 sales professionals responsible for driving upwards of $95M in annual revenue by utilizing the company's Salesforce Effectiveness Program
- Work with the Area Manager to grow market share and gross margin
- Conduct on-site customer visits to promote company products and services
- Contact existing customers/vendors in person, by phone, or through electronic communication to further relationships and cultivate sales
- Participate in local and regional trade associations to create and further develop the company's presence in the marketplace and to network with existing and potential customers
- Network internally with company branches to promote awareness of company activities and support product information/applications
- Attend internal and external sales and product training sessions to advance sales skills and technological knowledge required to achieve both personal and company objectives
- $130,000-$140,000 annual base, plus short-term and long-term incentives
- Up to 60% local travel within the assigned territory (Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties, and Hawaii)
- Overnight travel < 10%
- 5 years of sales or management experience with a proven track record of coaching, mentoring, and leading a team of sales representatives
- Experience leading a team of 6 or more with measurable success in driving growth, achieving sales targets, and building high-performing teams
- Hands-on leader who thrives in the field, supporting sellers directly with customers and driving results alongside the team
- Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and influence others through periods of change and transformation
- Strong negotiating and selling skills with the ability to develop new business, expand existing relationships, and grow market share
- Financial acumen and comfort managing performance against sales goals, P&L objectives, and profitability targets
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable sales plans and execute effectively
- Skilled at building strong customer relationships and collaborating cross-functionally to drive revenue and deliver exceptional service
- Background in B2B sales — ideally within distribution, wholesale, or a related industry
- Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM tools preferred
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field — or equivalent experience
