Project Description & Primary Responsibilities
Manages, plans, organizes and controls all activities of assigned IT projects at varying levels of complexity.
Duties include: manage individual projects of varying size and complexity; create and maintain project plans; ensure that users and project team members roles and responsibilities are defined; coordinate and monitor activities to ensure project is completed on time and within budget; ensures that user requirements, deliverables and approvals are defined and documented; communicate project status; promote use of PMI best practices; ensure the delivery of a product that meets user requirements.
Key Deliverables & Responsibilities Include:
- Meeting directly with agency staff to gather, analyze, and formalize data analysis reports.
- Prepare and deliver project documentation including requirements and progress reports, scope, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage project budgets and allocation of resources.
- Oversees project schedules, track progress and report statuses to stakeholders.
- Promoting standard development methodologies and breaking down broad user stories into manageable, technical tasks for system architects and developers.
- Skills in creating flowcharts, data dictionaries, data workflows, and process workflows.
- Ability to understand IT systems, data storage systems, and data flow analysis.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential roadblocks early and developing contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Utilize current project management methodologies.
- Decision making and problem-solving skills to make decisions with project scope.
- Ensuring the final deliverables meet the required standards and expectations of the client or organization.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

- Strong technical writing background with the ability to produce timeline visualization.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirement-gathering workshops with non-technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Be open to solutions and flexible in changing project requirements.
- Effective communicator both verbal and written.
