Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Crew Leader to oversee and coordinate construction projects on-site. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and construction site experience. This role involves supervising teams, ensuring safety compliance, managing project schedules, and maintaining quality standards to deliver projects efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Manage and directs daily site operations.
- Understand and adhere to contract specifications for each job and is responsible for following set means and methods for product installations.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment at all times and stops work immediately to rectify any unsafe situations.
- Responsible for quality craftsmanship and productivity on the job site.
- Responsible for the crew's maintenance of a professional demeanor on the job site.
- Communicates with customers about daily happenings on the job site.
- Communicates with the Operations Manager of Landscape Installations to coordinate materials deliveries and adherence to schedules.
- Responsible for safe operation and transport of construction equipment and routine preventative maintenance.
- Responsible for accurate time tracking using LMN software for all crew members.
- Responsible for tracking labor hours as well as materials and equipment usage for time and materials projects.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and medical DOT card.
- Pass a background check.
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Ability to spot and eliminate waste.
- Direct and train crew members to complete jobs in a safe, organized, productive fashion.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet all day.
- Competent use of landscape software.
- Thorough knowledge of plan reading and interpretation including understanding grades and scale and overall job layout.
- Expert in care and handling of a large variety of plants.
- Understand basic pruning techniques
- Able to identify diseases, pests, and poor quality plants received from nurseries
- Experience using but not limited to zip levels, tape measure, grades stakes, screed board and pipes, clamps ,slings, vacuum lifting devices, cutoff saw, plate compactor, feather and wedges, hammer drill.
- Adept at safe operation of equipment including but not limited to mini excavator, skid steer, tractor, loader, backhoe, truck and trailer.
- OSHA 10 Certification
