What a day looks like When you step onto the floor, you’re the steward of precision and flow. You verify that the right components are staged, compare them to samples and charts, and confirm specifications before a single part moves forward. You set up equipment for production runs, including imprint setup when required, and you’re comfortable rotating through multiple machines within a cell to keep output on pace with approved standards.Throughout the shift, you conduct in‑process inspections, document your work (and occasionally verify the work of teammates), and make adjustments using rulers, adjustable measuring devices, scales, gauges, and fixtures. You keep an eye on component inventory and make sure materials are at each work center so production never stalls.Your area stays clean, organized, and safe. Tools and spare parts are maintained and stored where they belong. You communicate clearly with teammates and customers, solve problems under deadline, and move smoothly between tasks without losing accuracy. And when special projects arise, you jump in.
