CNC Setup Machine Operators
Shift: 1st, (6am-4pm)
Pay: $25-$26/hr. (Based on experience)
We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Lathe & Mill Setup Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC equipment.
Job Description:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision components
- Interpret blueprints, job orders, and tooling instructions to determine machining requirements
- Change tools, adjust offsets, and troubleshoot issues during production
- Perform part inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
- Verify parts meet quality specifications and tolerances
- Retrieve and move materials or parts to/from designated areas
- Replace worn tooling and return used tooling upon job completion
- Adhere to DOD, OSHA, and ISO safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment through daily housekeeping
- Follow all established safety and operating procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machine setup and operation
- Strong knowledge of CNC controls and tooling
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Proficient with inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems
