Duties
- Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices
- Support the serving team by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Operate POS systems such as Toast for order processing and transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Support banquet and event setups by preparing food stations and assisting with catering needs
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and guests
- Experience with cooking, food preparation, or kitchen operations is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is a plus
- Previous banquet, hotel, or culinary experience will be considered an advantage
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
