Location: Columbia, South Carolina (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (Part-Time, Approximately 28 Hours/Week)
Duration: 8 Months (Extension Possible)

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce/TargetX CRM & Communications Specialist to support and enhance Salesforce and TargetX environments, with a strong focus on automated communications, email drip campaigns, and CRM operations. This role will collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to maintain and optimize communication workflows while supporting an upcoming CRM transition initiative.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and support TargetX Communication Planner and automated communication campaigns.
- Create, configure, schedule, test, deploy, and maintain email drip campaigns and communications.
- Build and manage communication audiences using CRM data.
- Configure campaign criteria, business rules, filters, and scheduling.
- Develop and maintain reusable email templates and campaign documentation.
- Perform testing and quality assurance for new and updated campaigns.
- Troubleshoot communication delivery, audience targeting, scheduling, and automation issues.
- Monitor campaign effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain campaign records, templates, and related assets following established best practices.
- Support CRM migration efforts by documenting existing campaigns, workflows, and business rules.
- Assist with campaign migration, data validation, testing, training, and transition activities.
- 3 years of experience with Salesforce CRM.
- 3 years of experience with TargetX.
- 3 years of experience using TargetX Communication Planner.
- 3 years of experience creating and managing automated email and drip campaigns.
- Experience with Salesforce reports, dashboards, objects, fields, and data management.
- Experience troubleshooting CRM, campaign, audience, scheduling, and delivery-related issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience supporting CRM platforms within higher education environments.
- Experience with admissions, recruitment, enrollment, student services, or advancement operations.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Flow and automation tools.
- Experience with TargetX forms, events, portals, or related functionality.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email communications.
- Experience with Data Loader, data imports/exports, and CRM integrations.
- Experience supporting CRM migrations, end-user training, and documentation efforts.
