Job Description:
Sit Social is seeking a dedicated and proactive Supervisor to join our team at Chicago’s premiere cage-free dog hotel and daycare. We are also home to The Italian Greyhound Experience—a ticketed cuddle event where guests pay to play and snuggle with a luxury pack of Italian Greyhounds.
This is a full-time position (~30 hours/week) ideal for someone who thrives in a hybrid role combining customer service, team supervision, administrative tasks, dog care, and cleaning.
You will be responsible for supervising day-to-day operations, ensuring a clean, calm, and welcoming environment for both pets and people, and leading with warmth and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise front desk operations and daily team activity
- Greet and assist guests (both human and canine)
- Monitor dog playgroups and help maintain a safe, cage-free environment
- Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and overall facility upkeep
- Provide exceptional customer service and manage bookings (Gingr software experience a plus)
- Represent The Italian Greyhound Experience and ensure guests are welcomed warmly
- Take initiative to identify issues and offer solutions
Schedule:
- ~30 hours per week
- Weekends required (10am–6pm)
- Flexible Wednesday–Friday availability (Shifts vary: 7am–1pm or 1pm–7pm)
- Mondays and Tuesdays OFF
Qualifications:
- Supervisory or management experience required
- Customer service or front desk experience (hospitality, veterinary, or pet care preferred)
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Calm under pressure, kind, and professional
