What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional - Preschool Special Education position at Sisu, Integrated Early Learning?
Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available
Paraprofessionals are responsible for providing support to the teacher, children and community volunteers in the morning early intervention program, and may also have extended-day schedule and duties providing quality program to children enrolled in the afternoon program. Successful employees have positive attitudes, excellent teamwork skills, and flexibility to change and adapt. Employees must read and respond to written information and have the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, and must comply with the policies, procedures and quality standards of Sisu.
Qualifications: Prefer minimum of Technical College Certificate in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and six months experience in a licensed center; require high school diploma or G.E.D. and age 18; Must provide proof of education qualification. Mandatory participation in a pre-employment drug-screen and comprehensive criminal background check; Ability to physically handle duties that may include, but are not limited to, lifting up to 60 lbs, carrying children and participating in floor level activity.
