What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Infusion Biller position at Sisu Healthcare Solutions?
Sisu Healthcare Solutions is a privately held infusion therapy company that is dedicated to providing excellent clinical service to our patients, physicians and managed care customers. We provide comprehensive infusion therapy services that include the provision of nutritional, antibiotics, and specialty drugs administered intravenously, including all medically appropriate and necessary supplies. We provide these services and products to patients in the home setting or in our outpatient ambulatory infusion suites.
Responsibilities:
- Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Verify current coverage with third party payers, and obtain authorizations as needed.
- Maintain current coverage status information on an ongoing basis for existing patients.
- Submit bills for reimbursement from third party payers.
- Submit invoices to patients for unpaid co-pay and insurance deductible amounts.
- Resubmit rejected insurance claims.
- Credit patient and/or insurance for overpayments and/or arrange for refunds of overpaid amounts.
- Communicate with patients about account status, including the processing of financial hardship forms.
- Communicate with supervisor as needed with regard to discrepancies and complaints.
- Maintain current files and billing records, and make changes as needed so that patient information on file is accurate and complete.
- Provide reports on billing activities as requested by supervisor.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Participate in the organization’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
- Participate in organization committees when requested.
- Participate in in-service education programs provided by the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
- Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.

- Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
