Job Summary
Sisters' Sludge Coffee Cafe and Wine Bar is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Coffee Shop Team Member to support daily café operations and provide a welcoming experience for guests. This role involves assisting customers, preparing and serving coffee and other beverages, supporting food service, maintaining clean work areas, and working collaboratively with the café team.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, and other café menu items according to established procedures.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process customer payments accurately.
- Assist with preparing ingredients, supplies, and service stations.
- Deliver completed food and beverage orders promptly and courteously.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked counters, tables, and service areas.
- Restock coffee, cups, lids, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies.
- Answer customer questions and assist with menu selections when needed.
- Communicate special orders, customer preferences, and service concerns to team members.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace safety procedures.
- Help maintain consistent beverage quality and attractive product presentation.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general café duties.
- Support coworkers with daily café operations and other assigned tasks.
- Follow company policies and established customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous coffee shop, café, restaurant, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
